The sermon opens by asking where the covenant men are, then turns to 1 Timothy 2 and 1 Corinthians 14 to work through what Scripture actually teaches about men and women in the church and the home. Genesis grounds the discussion: both men and women are God’s image bearers, made to rule creation together, yet given differing roles within one covenant, and Genesis’s language of the woman as a “helper” is shown to carry dignity, not inferiority, since God Himself is called Israel’s helper.
Authority, the sermon argues, is never self-generated; like a soldier who has real authority over his men only because he stands under his commanding officer, human authority always rests on being rightly under authority, ultimately under God. From there the message works through practical questions, whether men can work under female bosses, who manages the household, and whether wives should teach or lead spiritually, urging men to step into responsible headship rather than leaving it to their wives by default.
